An dieser Stelle wollten wir schon seit Jahren einen Cache platzieren, man hat eine prächtige Aussicht über den Hüttnersee und über den ganzen Zürichsee, von Zürich bis nach Rapperswil.
Ich hab sogar schon mal ein Listing vorbereitet, das dann wieder vergessen und archiviert wurde. Nun ist's anders, nun gibt's dort einen beinahe drive-in Cache ganz in der Nähe von zwei Sitzbänken auf denen man eben diese Aussicht etwas geniessen kann.
Beim Verstecken ist zu beachten, dass der Cache so tief wie möglich (schräg) hineingeschoben wird, so dass er von aussen gar nicht (nur minimal) sichtbar ist.
Aber warum heisst der Cache so wie er heisst ? Eine kurze Erklärung.
Kanada
Am morgen des 27. August waren wir auf dem Flughafen und verabschiedeten uns von unserem Sohn und seiner Freundin. Das Ziel ist die Universitätsstadt Kingston in Ontario um dort in die Schule/Studium zu gehen. Grund genug einen Cache zu legen.
Kanada ist mit 9'984'670 km2 nach Russland der zweitgrösste Staat, hat aber eine ziemlich geringe Einwohnerdichte und liegt bezüglich Einwohnern pro km2 mit 3.4 Einwohner pro km2 an achtletzter Stelle. Die Schweiz, als Vergleich, hat eine Bevölkerungsdichte von 197 Einwohner pro km2, obwohl über 20% als unproduktive Naturfläche gilt (vorwiegend in den Alpen und im Jura).
Kingston liegt in der Provinz Ontario. Ontario ist mit 1'076'395 km2 die viertgrösste Provinz und hat in etwa die selbe Bevölkerungsdichte wie ganz Kanada. In Ontario liegen auch, auf der Grenze zu den vereinigten Staaten, die bekannten Niagara Fälle.

Argentinien
Da ein Teil von keenonkites ursprünglich in Argentinien, in der Provinz Misiones, aufgewachsen ist, haben wir oft Besuch von dort... und jedesmal wenn wir mit dem Besuch an Hütten vorbeigefahren sind, mussten wir dort kurz anhalten um die schöne Aussicht zu geniessen.
Argentinien hat eine Fläche von 2'780'400 km2 und ist damit auf Platz acht der Staaten bezüglich der Fläche, also hinter Kanada. Bezüglich der Bevölkerungsdichte aber liegt es ca 20 Plätze vor Kanada, Argentinien hat 14.9 Einwohner pro km2. Die Schweiz, als Vergleich, hat eine Bevölkerungsdichte von 197 Einwohnern pro km2, obwohl über 20% als unproduktive Naturfläche gilt (vorwiegend in den Alpen und im Jura).
Die Provinz Misiones ist mit 29'801 km2 in Argentinien die viertkleinste Provinz und ist somit ca 30% kleiner als die Schweiz. Die Bevölkerungsdichte der Provinz ist mit 37 Einwohnern pro km2 mehr als doppelt so hoch wie der der Wert für das ganze Land. In Misiones, auf der Grenze zu Brasilien, liegen die bekannten Iguazu Fälle.

Nullachtfünfzehn, oder eben 08/15, ist eine gebräuchliche deutsche Redewendung für etwas ganz gewöhnliches oder nichts besonderes, Durchschnitt, Mittelmass, ohne Sorgfalt bereitet oder nichts Erwähnenswertes.
Der Ursprung dieser Redewendung ist auf den Ersten Weltkrieg zurückzuführen, genauer gesagt auf ein Maschinengewehr mit genau diesem Namen: 08/15.

Since years we said that we have to place a cache at this location, one has a great view from the lake of Hütten and the lake of Zürich, from Zürich and Rapperswil.
There was even a cache listing prepared that got forgotten and archived therefore. Now it's different, there is a nearly drive-in cache just besides two seating benches from where you can enjoy the impressive view.
Please hide the cache again the same way, as deep into the hiding-place as possible, so that it is not visible from outside.
But why is the cache named as this way ? A short explanation.
Canada

Ontario has nearly the same population density as the complete state. It also domiciles the Niagara Falls, directly at the border to the United States.
Kingston has over 120'000 inhabitants and is located at the northeast end of the Lake Ontario. The Queens University is with 4'200 employees the second biggest employer in Kingston, directly after the Military Academy. There are about 16'000 students registered at Queens at 18 different degree programs.

Part of the relatives of keenonkites grew up in Argentina, in the province Misiones. This is why we often have visitors from there... and each time we pass the cache location we have to stop and enjoy the great view.
