Farina was a settlement created for wheat farming and then railway support in the 19th century. Time and circumstances have lead to it’s abandonment. A restoration group is now preventing the ruins from decaying further. If you visit Farina in June or July, you may be lucky enough to taste a hot, steaming pasty from the restored underground bakehouse.
