When you open the ammo can, you will see an LCD screen, a battery holder, and a locked door. Insert your two AA batteries (spin them around to make sure they're making contact), and begin to solve the field puzzle. Because there is circuitry inside the cache, please don't be too rough with the cache container. It's pretty tough, but won't withstand being smashed against a rock, for example.
The trailhead is a bit hard to find, so I've included it as a waypoint. Dogs must be leashed at all times. When closing the cache, clear the combination (the lock won't close with the correct combination set), make sure the lock is in the same position you found it in so the lid can close, and seal the ammo can tightly.
This cache was placed with the permission of the Friends of Sholan Farms. Sholan Farms (view map) is a town-owned orchard, through which the Monoosnoc Trail runs. The trails in the orchard can be walked during daylight hours only. Please don't pick anything walking through the orchard.
