The area this cache has been placed in is where I would often go to assess the conditions before I ventured out with my surfboard. You can see the whole beach from up here and on a calm day you can see the napier port.
This area does get rather busy in summer time as it is a good place to stay a night or two camping or you can hire a cabin at the local camp ground.
The area also has a number of caves that you can explore if you know where to look, adventure guides would be the best people to tell you where these are.
