Nestled in the flax is the remains of an Art Deco era Thornycroft Truck. The truck lived its life up at Waipatiki where it spent its days carting wool from Aropaoanui Station to the beach where the cargo was rowed out to large ships for export.
The truck is from the 1910's and was brought down from it's farm at Waipatiki to its current location 7 years ago.
