If you are boating or canoeing you'll have to find a dry area to land as it is marshy along the side of the lake.
There is a trail that runs along the side of the lake.
The trail starts from the Eielson AFB military family campsite behind cabin #13. Military ID may be needed to enter through the front gate. However you can reach this cache without ID by going the long way around the shoreline.
Bring along a lot of bug spray as the mosquitoes are very bad. Moose have been known to wander the area so be on the lookout.
