Clissold Park, Old Tree Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to recent logs I am archiving it.

The Geocache Maintenance guideline explains a CO's responsibility towards checking and maintaining the cache when problems are reported. Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained in the Help Center.

Geocache Description:

I'm really enjoying geocaching and just getting started. This cache is in Clissold Park which I use nearly every day. It's a great place to visit so I hope you enjoy finding this cache.

Clissold Park is one of the busiest places in Stoke Newington and is always full of joggers, mums and kids and loads of visitors. Great place for a walk or kite flying, feeding the ducks (no bread or you'll get told off by the rangers). Near to Stoke Newington Church Street and we love the selection of eating places there.

The cache is located near the Queen Elizabeth gate at the junction of Queen Elizabeth's Walk and Grazebrook Road, N16 0HX. You will be looking at the base of an old vertical tree stump which has large amounts of bracket fungus growing on it. The cache is to the right of it in between the two fallen trunks at the v it is well hidden and out of the sight of muggels. The cache is a cylinder about 6 by 12cm (2.4 by 7inch). There is lots of room for trackables and swag. happy cacheing
