Being fairly new to this sport, one of the fun parts of learning is seeing new nomenclature in descriptions, especially when we travel to other parts of the world. Recently while visiting family in North Carolina we found a cache that used “lift the skirt” as code for what seems to be called LPC in our neck of the woods. Last year in Saskatoon we learned about MISTY, a “micro in a spuce tree” (which because of the amount of snow they get makes more sense than an LPC.) (Spruce trees are quite prickily by the way) All part of the fun of learning to be a seasoned geocacher.
I was so taken with Lifting the Skirt that I thought a short series might be in order. I have not been a huge fan of the LPC idea, the first find was great, felt like quite an accomplishment but after that, not so much. There are those days of course when a find is a find...
So I am venturing into new territory for me. I will endeavor to make each one of the series unique (not earth shakingly unique, but unique) in some way. So here is Number 1, a park and grab if ever there was one! No room for swag, please bring your own pen.
