FSC-2015 Glasgow Park
Cache Details:
The cache is not at the listed coordinates but the information panels are. You will gather information from the panels to determine the final coordinates. It should take ~30 minutes to complete the puzzle, find the cache and make the round trip hike of ~1 mile.
Note: As of 6/20/24 some more of the panels at stage 1 have been removed. There are only 4 panels remaining. The puzzle questions have been adjusted to reflect any changes with the panels.

After determining the final coordinates make your way to the cache (~0.4 mi away). If you go to the 2nd parking area, pick up the nearby trail head (TH) listed waypoint. This trail takes you towards the cache (~0.4 mi away). The last 350 feet to GZ is an easy bushwhack-start just before a footbridge. You are looking for a plastic ammo box.

Description:
Currently there are 13 other active caches in Glasgow park. The park has the following amenities: 1 large + 3 medium Pavilions for rent (reservations required through New Castle County),picnic tables, porta-potties, large playground for kids, skate park, tennis and basketball courts, bark park, a 2.75 milepaved walking/biking path with fitness stations along with nature trails in the woods. Remember this is a County Park so no night caching.
Learn some history of Glasgow and its surrounding area, also known as "Pencader Hundred". Learn about its formation millions of years ago, the early Welsh settlers, milling at Dayett Mills, Iron production with iron ore mining at Iron Hill / Chestnut Hill, the Battle of Cooches Bridge - the only battle of the Revolutionary War fought in the State of Delaware (1777), the building of the Chesapeake & Delaware canal, the New Castle + Frenchtown railroad and other such fascinating history.
Also, there are several other information panels located near the parking area at the far end of the park near the pond and the large hill. Here you can learn about the native american indians who lived here, the Mason-Dixon line (and the boundaries of Delaware), the Pencader Heritage Museum (located near Dayett Mills off of Sunset Lake Rd [Rt72]), the past of Pencader Hundred and the other hundreds of Delaware, and other historical events which happened in this area.
