After a recent presentation for the members of the Harmony Historical Society, we have been asked to mix the "old" with the "new", and host a geocaching event on their grounds. This will be a wonderful opportunity to gather together to meet with new, and visit with old caching friends, share caching stories, find a few new (published for the occassion) caches, and learn a thing or two about the history of the area!
The historical society will be opening their six different buildings (a one-room schoolhouse, 1840's furnished farmhouse, a weaving shed, a barn, a storage shed, and a meeting hall) for the occassion. In addition, several members from the Historical Society will be on-hand, and provide demonstrrations in various skills, such as weaving, spinning, wood carving, basketmaking, forge work, and fireplace cooking.
We will have a table set-up for our two-hour long caching event. - Naturally, with a log-book and opportunity to trade TBs! We also hope to hand-out coordinates for a handful of new (published for the occassion) caches!
