Geocache Description:

You will need to visit the local Visitor Information Centre located at the Yarraman's Heritage Centre to collect the information needed to solve this puzzle.

The Heritage Centre is open between 9am-3pm Monday-Friday, and 10am-2pm on weekends. Although there is an entry fee to enter the highly recommended museum inside the old convent, all the information you need to find is located in the 'free' part.

About the old convent building: In 1942, there was a grave fear that Australia would be invaded during WWII. The most obvious point of entry would be North Queensland. The then Government developed a policy of defending a demarcation line, which ran through the State several hundred kilometres north of Brisbane. The Catholic Church was then asked to erect a convent in the area of the railhead at Yarraman to cater for evacuees from Townsville and Cairns. The Railhead is located only a few kilometres from here, at the end of Miller Street (down the hill to the east). The Sacred Heart Convent was completed in 1945 but as the threat of invasion had diminished, the Sisters of Mercy saw a need for a boarding convent for boys instead and took it over in June 1945. As the schooling system improved and school buses became more readily available, in 1966 the building closed as a boarding convent. It then functioned as a retreat for nuns for a period of time before being handed over to the aboriginal wing of the Catholic Church. Over time, the building fell into disrepair before being sold for demolition. However, thankfully in 1996 the Yarraman & District Historical Society acquired the convent from the Catholic Church, transforming it into a wonderful museum to display and preserve historical facts of Yarraman.

This is also the location of the current local community radio station.
Clues: To find the coordinates to the location of the final geocache, you will need to solve the following: S26 AB.CDD E151 EF.GHI
AB = Jack McGrath wore the railway guards' overcoat in the 19AB's.
C = The first number of the number of kilometres from here to Nanango (?2)
D = (year the rail line lifted minus the year the rail line closed) multiplied by 2
EF = Public Weighbridge No. minus (the year the first diesel train was used minus the year the Yarraman railway opened) minus 3
G = (WX - YZ) divided by the sum of the first two digits of Sth Q'lands last steam train, minus .5.
WX equals the last two digits of the year the rail station building was moved to its current location.
YZ equals the last two digits of the year the Yarraman railway opened.
HI = (number of miles of rail line used from Ipswich to Yarraman minus Public Weighbridge tonne capacity) plus V.
V equals the community radio station's radio frequency 9V.7.
Check sum: A+B+C+D+E+F+G+H+I = 53)
