Come one, come all, bring the kids too! GONIL is hosting its 3rd Annual Bonfire Event at The Hollows group campground shelter and adjoining area. The Hollows is a McHenry County Conservation District facility located in southeast McHenry County.

For a mere $100 each, GONIL will provide you with the makings for a S'more -or- Hot Dog. We won't cook it for you because cooking it is what makes it FUN!
GONIL will provide cooking sticks for your use or you can bring your own.
NEW THIS YEAR...
- Some of you have indicated an interest in camping overnight at the event. This year we have made arrangements for just that. If you are interested in camping, please email drank (click here) so we can get a head count and get you more information.
- Also new this year (weather permitting), our very own djwhouse and others from the Lake County Astronomical Society will be joining us with their telescopes to provide us with a closer look into space. Should we have a clear enough sky, we will start this after 7:00 PM when it gets a bit darker.
There are a few caches in the immediate area for your enjoyment. There are plenty of picnic tables for your use, but if you want to '"hang out" by the fire, bring your own chair and lantern if you have one. Don't forget to check out the GONIL store as it will be at this event. Hope to see you all there!
