Naše stopa na ostrově / Our Footprint on the Island






Keš je věnována všem našim geopřátelům z tohoto ostrova.
Lesvos je ostrovem milých lidí, různých překvapení a ostrovem Geocachingu.
Touto cestou bychom chtěli hlavně poděkovat Mytilene teamu za skvělé keše a za ukázku překrásných míst, které bychom bez nich nenavštívili a přišli bychom o nádheru tohoto ostrova.

Naše každoroční dovolená na Lesvosu patří k těm nezapomenutelným. Rozmanitá krajina, historické památky, kapličky a kostelíky, kláštery, tradiční vesničky, termální prameny, krásné pláže, olivové háje nás neustále udivují.
Nádherné dva charakteristické zálivy - Kalloni a Gera - hluboce zařízlé do pobřeží rozdělují ostrov na čtyři části.
Ve východní části ostrova se rozprostírá hlavní město Mytilini s nádhernou pevností a přístavem. Hornatá jižní část posetá olivovníky a piniemi se svažuje do malebných vesniček. Turisticky nejatraktivnější je severní část ostrova se starověkým městem Molyvos vystavěném na kopci s unikátní pevností na vrcholu (památka UNESCO). Západní část připomíná pouštní krajinu. Nachází se zde přírodní skvost - Zkamenělý prales, vyhlášen UNESCO za geopark.

Doporučujeme všem navštívit ostrov Lesvos pro jeho nádheru, okouzlující východy i západy slunce a křišťálově čisté moře. Určitě stojí za to.



This cache was made for our geofriends who live on this island.
The island of Lesvos is inhabited by kind people, offers various wonders and is an island of Geocaching. This way, we would like to thank the Mytilene team for amazing caches and for showing us all the beautiful places which we wouldn’t visit otherwise and would lose seeing the real beauty of the island.

Our annual holiday spent on this island belongs to those unforgettable. The nature of real beauty, historical monuments, chapels and churches, monasteries, traditional villages, thermal springs, nice beaches, olive groves and much more still stun us, regardless of the time spent here. Two exciting gulfs, Kalloni and Gera, characteristic symbols of the island, separate the island into four areas.
In the east, there lies the city of Mytilini with a beautiful fortress and a harbour.
The southern hilly area with countless olive trees and stone pines slowly goes down to traditional villages.
The most attractive area for tourists is the northern area of the island with ancient Molyvos, built around a hill with a unique fortress on the top (belongs to UNESCO).
The west reminds of a desert and offers a real jewel – a petrified forest, declared a geopark by UNESCO.

We recommend all people visiting the island of Lesvos, to see the beauty, stunning sunrises and sunsets and the crystal clear sea. It is definitely worth it.
