Geocache Description:

Either by car or on foot along the UK's largest body of fresh water - Loch Lomond - You will find this cache near the Inversnaid Water Fall an impressive and emotive location

Loch Lomond is the the UK's largest body of fresh water approx 26 miles long and about 4 miles at its widest. The cache is situated midway on its eastern flanks, at the Inversnade Water fall. If you choose to drive to the cache then take the deadend road from the small village of Aberfoyle situated in the Queen Elizebeth National Park in the Trossocs. The 16 mile drive on narrow lanes is well worth the experince even without the cache being there. When you reach the end there is ample parking with stunning views of the Loch. The other route is walking in, either from the north or south of the Loch. However, this route is part of the stunning and envigorating 95 mile West Highland Way starting off in Miligavie (Nth of Glascow) to Ft William in the Highlands.
