Fairy Lake Float
This is the tenth Fairy Lake Float event on Fairy Lake in Acton since it began last year in May, and our fifth of the five gatherings this year.
This event is a social gathering of like minded geocachers who also enjoy having a fun time kayaking and canoeing. The event takes place on Fairy Lake in Acton. Before and after the event you can enjoy your time exploring and paddling around the Lake. The best access point to Fairy Lake would be from the boat house (see additional waypoint) which is next to the parking lot within Prospect Park. It is suggested that you use a kayak or canoe to get to the event as the event is on water. Motor boats are not allowed on Fairy Lake.
Date and Time
The event will take place from 6:30pm to 7:15pm on Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
In the event of unpleasant weather (rain, high winds, etc) the event will be postponed until the following day or week.
Theme
The theme for this event will be a "dinner together" at a local restaurant to celebrate the last float of the season. I will be booking a reservation at the same restaurant as last year. See the details below. Please feel free to plan on joining us for a meal, or just come for the floating part. That's OK too!
Some will note that this event starts earlier than the other events in this series. This is to accomodate for the earlier sunset this time of year.
Dinner reservations have now been made at Tanner's, in Acton. The reservation is for 7:30pm.
