This cache was originally placed for the the First State Challenge 2015 sponsored by Delaware Geocachers! Although the challenge has ended, this cache is still available to be found!!

FSC-2015 Carousel Park

Cache Details:

Visit a wild west "town" complete with main street, Boot Hill and plenty of horses





Description:
The Carousel Park and Equestrian Center comprises of 217 acres of parkland in New Castle County. Located in the heart of the Pike Creek Valley, the site includes trails, a fishing pond, bark park, farmer’s market and is home to the County’s Mounted Police Unit. The property also hosts the Kids Carousel Corral which allows visitors to see goats, sheep, bunnies and miniature horses. The cache is located near the Old Western Town display. Feel free to visit the stables and passed those is the corral. Please no night caching, cache is only available from dusk until dawn. You do not need to step into the landscaped area to retrieve cache. The office staff is aware of the cache so please feel to give them a wave through the window. Please note that Sleeping Under the Stars is taking place on October 24, so traffic will be heavy that weekend.
