the ROCKETEER Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is a Frutcheyclan GADGET Cache.

A fitting finale cache to my series throughout Elk Grove Park I think. Hope you have fun finding all the rest! This cache is the most fun with at least two cachers on site. Finding the outer cache container should be easy. Gaining access to the log will be the fun part. If you have a friend with you, have them stand about 10 feet or so to the south of the cache container while you go for the log. If alone, keep a keen eye for the Rocketeer after launch. A silvery tool of the trade is provided just to the left of the cache to make this job easier. It can be done without, but you'll have to get dirty for that. No need to use any other pokers or prodding tools in your cache bag please. You have everything you need with you.

Step #1 REMOVE THE CAP
Step #2 USE TOOL
Step#3 LAUNCH
Step#4 RETURN BISON RIBBON SIDE DOWN

Hidden on the northside of Elk Grove Park, my very favorite local park. This park is well known for it HUGE Oaks that have been here for 50+ years. Cache is log only so bring a pen. Please place back RIBBON SIDE DOWN, thank you. Park Hours = 7am until 1 Hour Passed Sunset.

This cache is part of a series of caches I am placing to fill out the entire park. Whenever I go caching with my little ones I always appreciate it when there are lots of fun and creative caches for us to find in one continuous hike without having to jump back in the car every time. With my recent move back to the home I grew up in (Visit GC5CARB - A Victorian Treasure) I'm much closer to EG park which will make repair and maintenance of these caches super easy. Enjoy a nice walk, run or bike ride as you pick all of them up! I tried to be creative! Let me know what you think...
