El Nino Fall Picnic Event Cache

Why El Nino???? Because we have had a nice El Nino type summer and it looks like we are going to have another El Nino winter!!!

GeocacheAlaska!, Inc. has rented the pavilion in Oceanview Park at the intersection of Oceanview Dr and Jarvi Dr in south Anchorage, beginning at 4pm on Saturday September 19th . A gas grill will be fired up to cook a simple but tasty selection of burgers and hot dogs. While the meat is provided (courtesy of GeocacheAlaska!, Inc.) we ask you to bring a side dish or tasty dessert to share.

Help us plan for success by registering your intent to attend early - we want everyone to have food'n'fun! And - your 'will attend' log ensures you stay up to date as late-breaking announcements are made about the event's details.

There are picnic tables under the pavilion cover for dining use, and a special table will be available where Travelers (trackable TBs and geocoins) can be shown for display or to travel on. If you bring items for display please mark them clearly as exhibit-only items.

There's a basketball court, two tennis courts, a kids playground complete with a kid size zip line and lots of green grass with room for Frisbee and other park games. Bring your favorite!

Bring your GPS because day caches will be hidden and of course there will be a GPS accuracy game!
