Sunshine on Langsett Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Barnsley Badger: I feel very sad but feel that I have no choice but to archive this cache. I replaced it in November & March and by May it had gone missing again. Such a shame as it was in memory of my husband, but I can't keep replacing it every couple of months!!

Geocache Description:

Langsett Reservoir is on the edge of the Peak District National Park.  The best place to park is at Langsett Barn Car Park on the A616.  There are a series of paths around the reservoir and the one I have placed this cache on is flat and ideal for pushchairs and wheelchairs (wheelchair users will need assistance to retrieve the cache, as it's not on the footpath).

I have placed this cache in memory of my husband and I have a memorial bench for him close by.  The name "Sunshine on Langsett" was chosen for two reasons: Firstly, the plaque on the bench says "Our sunshine on legs" & secondly, I've recently watched & enjoyed the film " Sunshine on Leith".

The cache is a small Tupperware box inside a camouflage bag.  It is hidden at the base of a bent tree, close to a bend in the footpath.  It contains a small logbook, but you'll need to bring a pen.  It also contains a few items that can be swapped - please don't take anything without replacing. Watch out for muggles - it gets quite busy at weekends! A huge well done to The Gom Squad being FTF, less than 24 hours after I placed the cache!!!
