Once the event is over, there are plenty of caches in the area to find. Tea and coffee are available Hope to see you there! Bring your trackables too. Parking is available on site for a small fee (suggested £2 donation)
The park has play areas for children, cycle paths and footpaths through and around the park. It has an orienteering route and is part of the Chesterfield Sculpture Trail. These paths are popular with dog walkers and cyclists, linking with the cycle routes around Chesterfield. Walkers can take the paths to Newbold, Ashgate, Linacre reservoirs or Cutthorpe. There are picnic tables at the Linacre road car park, also at the lake,football pitches and Pavilion Play area. There is plenty of seating around the park with litter bins and some dog litter bins. The Holme Brook runs through the park from Linacre Reservoirs and in the brook can be found Bullheads, Trout and Crayfish. The northern end of the park is elevated and offers spectacular views over Chesterfield to Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle and on towards Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. The high ground makes the park popular with kite flyers and model plane enthusiasts. The park offers a peaceful haven with the opportunity to see wild flowers and birdlife.
