Thank you to Oliver McShane at MUSA, for his permission to place this cache, and his enthusiasm for the activity of geocaching that we all love and enjoy.
The cache is placed just off the Cross Country running track that circles the perimeter of the football pitches. 1400 metres in length and it has recently been refurbished with a tarmac surface providing a much more user friendly surface for the many walkers and joggers who regularly use the Trail.
In addition ten stations of Outdoor Fitness Equipment have been installed to allow users to obtain a complete work out. The equipment which is the first of its kind locally includes leg press, chest press, sit up bench, pull down, dips/leg raises and is designed to be used by all ability levels from beginner to the more experienced.
Recently designated as a Highway to Health walk its attractions include: Full Street lighting Monday to Friday until 10pm, away from the town fumes and traffic and a no dogs policy. The provision of floodlights makes it a safe, secure environment for lone walkers/runners as well as groups.
