In Memory of Tony Hillier

Dr Tony Hillier was an artist and sculpture living in Histon.  He was a Lecturer in Physiology and a former fellow of Trinity and Selwyn colleges.  He started sculpture around the time of his retirement and is well known locally for the incredible metal sculptures of animals in his garden that he made.

The sculptures he made were never sold, he would make and donate sculptures to schools, colleges, parks and other institutions concerned with young people or education which reflected his background.

Everyone, especially children, are welcome to explore the sculptures, please check the notice at the end of the garden before visiting the works.  They can sit on many of the animal sculptures provided they are dry.  Be sure that the youngsters don’t fall or hurt themselves, the little ones especially need care, lest they bump their heads when crawling underneath things, everyone enters the garden at their own risk.

Accessible by foot, car, bike with public transport on main road nearby.

The cache is hidden at the base of one of the sculptures, it is a container with room for swapables.  Permission has been given by Joan Hillier. As this is in a garden please visit during daylight hours only, thank you.

Please bring a pen!

Congratulations to T-C*Gate for the first to find.
