*Trolls are very large and monstrous creatures. They range from 8 to 10 feet tall and are a stinky, unintelligent humanoid race.
*Eating livestock and stealing valuables to fill their hidden treasure stashes are their main activities. Natural areas like the Prairie Creek Recreation Area are susceptible to the invasion of trolls.
*One such troll has taken up residence in the North East section of the Prairie Creek Recreation Area. This troll is a "Stone Troll" and is every bit as smelly and greedy as a troll can be. This is your chance to take back some of the treasure that has been stolen by this troll and earn your own troll name.
*Find the troll's hidden treasure and use the decryption key inside to discover your "Troll Name".
*The "Troll Name" decryption key is also published in the image gallery on the cache page.
*There is information in the hints section that will help you have a successful treasure hunt.
Remember: If you take from the stash, you must leave something in its place so the troll doesn't suspect his treasure has been found.
Stage #1:
This fun multi starts from the parking area for Prairie Creek Recreation Area. The parking area is located on the West side of 223rd Avenue, 2/10ths of a mile from Highway 64, South of Maquoketa. The first stage of this cache should be a short walk from your vehicle. You will need clues from the hint to help you with stage 1.
