Geocache Description:

This is a great semi-easy float down the South Fork of the Shenandoah River from Newport to Whitehouse Landing takeout. You may access the river at the below waypoints for public boat access...You will be rewarded will a GREAT day on the river!!!!!

Cache container is a soda preform....up about 100 ft or so from of the river.

WARNING: DO NOT TRY TO ACCESS CACHE FROM LAND....AS IT IS PRIVATE PROPERTY ON BOTH THE NORTH AND SOUTH RIVER BANKS!!!!!


Heplercache Being Lazy........ :)

Total trip takes approx. 5-6 hours with normal fishing pace and was a total of 9.5ish miles....All of the "rapids" are very manageable and mostly ripples....We saw an abundance of wildlife including many bald eagles along this stretch of river........:)
