Green Valley Lake (GVL) is the highest mountain community in Southern California. At nearly 7,000 above sea level GVL is cool in the summer and cold in the winter with snow, snow, snow. No ski areas in GVL but Snow Valley is only about 5 miles away. The lake is small but well stocked with trout from April to October and a favorite fishing spot for many, many anglers. GVL is a quiet community, off the beaten path to some of the larger mountain communities.
