Geocache Description:

Pitt Park contains an historical archelogical site - the Weatherboard Inn.   Charles Darwin reputedly stayed here in 1836.   A Holm Oak was planted in 1936 to commemorate the centenary of Darwin's visit.  Although there is little to nothing of the Inn remaining the tree is still flourishing.  Both the tree and the Inn have been recognised as historically significant and are listed on the State Heritage Register.

Please don't cross the fenceline for a better look its there to protect the area from further damage and the cache isn't over there...

no longer in the tree, but I've also increased the size so maybe it equals out. Be carefull of the nearby fencing wire someone hasn't removed - it could be a trip hazard.

a small sistema container with some room for swaps.
