Adderstone Reserve (Manawatu) Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

pgcnz: Maintenance visit, first visit in a while and last found over 5 months ago. Couldn't locate it - I think it's gone. Vegetation has changed a lot since it was first placed so will reinstate in another location. If anyone has any ideas for a cache around here in the meantime they're welcome to place one.

Geocache Description:

The cache is a camo’d 1.5 litre screw-top container with a log book and pencil.  There is room for swaps and trackables.

Adderstone Walkway is a 0.69km gravel track through regenerated bush around a natural pond.  It’s maintained by Palmerston North City Council.  The Council’s web site describes the walkway as, “with amazing views over the Manawatū countryside … undulating with moderate to steep climbs”.  The track has been enhanced with native planting in recent years, which is now becoming well established.

The cache is located just off the track; please take care underfoot as small trees are growing. The hillside can drop away quite suddenly on one side of the track.

There is parking at each end of the track, on Pacific Drive and Aokautere Drive.  The path from here connects to several other caches located in the gullies and regenerated bush nearby.

Congratulations searchSteve, FTF!
