Geocache Description:

This is a great semi-easy float down the South Fork of the Shenandoah River from Island Ford to Elkton. You may access the river at public boat access listed on this cache page:SF Shenandoah River Adventure

Cache container is a black bison tub with waterproof paper just hanging around up high from any pending floods and will require a short climb :)

WARNING: DO NOT TRY TO ACCESS CACHE FROM LAND....AS IT IS PRIVATE PROPERTY ON BOTH THE NORTH AND SOUTH RIVER BANKS ON EITHER SIDE OF ISLAND!!!!!

Total trip takes approx. 5 hours with normal fishing pace and was a total of 6.35 miles....All of the "rapids" are very manageable and mostly ripples with 3 stretches a tad more challenging :)
