Geocache Description:

This cache which is in a SSSI, is placed with the kind permission of Natural Resources Wales.

A series of caches along the Pembrokeshire Coast Path around Angle Headland.

This walk is approximately 3.75 miles (6kms) if the whole circular loop is completed.

Look at the complicated geological structures on the north side of the bay.

In February 1996 the coastline at Angle was affected by an oil spill from the MV Sea Empress which ran aground nearby. The ensuing oil spill was was Britain's third largest oil spillage and was the twelfth largest in the world at the time. The clean up took several years and cost £60 million.

If you are planning to attempt the full series in a clockwise direction please note that at the very very highest of tides at certain times of the year the vehicle track/path after the Old Point House Inn can be under water - you could be stranded in the pub for a while! Just check the tide here at West Angle Bay.
