This skating rink was known as "8 Wheels" during my childhood, and I certainly have a lot of memories of this place. In fact, this was the site of my very first date in 5th grade. I was never very good at skating, but this was a fun place to see and be seen back in the day. The inside looks more or less the same, except possibly for the paint scheme. Back in the 80s when breakdancing was popular, they even installed a breakdancing platform in the arcade area.
As an adult, I've been here a handful of times for children's birthday parties and roller derby, and I always get a little misty.
