This is the ghost of our original night cache. Someone had removed the latter 10 waypoints of the original cache including the cache container and we decided to redo the first portion into 3 separate caches as we hated to let all the work in putting the original out go to waste. This is the first in the series and closest to the parking coordinates. The second and third in the series just continue from the end of the first. Happy Caching.
The BLM is in the process of restricting vehicle access to much of the recreational area around Cline Butte. This night cache was placed in the Juniper/Maston portion of the Cline Buttes Recreation Area where there are many trails for riding bikes, horses or just hiking to your heart's content. However, there is not vehicle access other than the designated TH staging areas and an access gate for hiking at the parking coordinates shown below. This cache is set up using reflective tape of alternating white and red arrows. There are 10 waypoints of the tape variety and orange and white fire tacks at the final location.
The first reflective arrow is at the coordinates given above and will be pointed in the general direction of the next waypoint. Each successive arrow will be the opposite color and will point generally toward the next waypoint. The distances between the arrows will vary between 120 and 424 ft, depending on a clear line of sight. We anticipate that in most cases they should be fairly easy to see if you look in the direction indicated, which may require you to step around to the other side of the tree from where the last arrow is located. The final cache is cammo'd nut jar.
NOTE - THIS IS THE DESERT SO BE AWARE OF CRITTERS AT NIGHT.
Gave the cache a 2 terrain rating only because it is being done at night in the desert. Terrain is fairly flat
