I do like the Wedge - great for walks, wildlife, kids and dogs - lots of fab locations for Geocaches too. I have tried to avoid placing the caches on the farmers land (some of the fantastic trees are very tempting though). I will also try to avoid slippy spots in the future.
This particular GC is located in a concealed entrance leading from Staircase lane in to one of the large wedge fields (some horses). On those rare occasions that we get a good snow day this slope is a very popular spot for sledging, .
I have marked a couple of car parks. There may be some roadside parking closer by, but some of the nearby roads are rather slim. There are other caches around and about the parking spots :-)
There is a brick built bridge not too far from the GC (marked). It is nice spot for welly paddling and building stone dams.
The tree cover might interfere with sat-nav sorry.The hiding spot is fairly low down and just a few paces from the path (and gate).
