Geocache Description:

The end of the Knights Templar was a sad close to an order whose origins two centuries earlier had been marked by valor and purity of intent. They were trusted by nobles and Kings to provide counsel and to protect riches and treasure and also lent money, often to royalty. Despite the high esteem in which they were held by many, the wealth and power of the Templars led to envy and resentment from many quarters, and the secrecy surrounding the order bred suspicion.

In 1307, Philip the Fair of France ordered the arrest of the Knights Templar in France after allegations of heresy and impropriety. His motives are likely to have been primarily financial. The accusations of blasphemy against the Templars gave Philip a chance to act. Once arrested, the Templars were tortured, and nearly all confessed to a series of allegations. Following the formal suppression of the Order in 1312, the last Templars fled to Scotland where they were welcomed by Robert the Bruce. Some believe these fugitive Templars aided the Scots at Bannockburn and later found refuge in Glasgow, where they hid many religious artifacts and treasure... including their WHERIGOLD!

ABOUT THIS WHERIGO: This cartridge takes you on a short walk through historic Glasgow to places associated with the last Templar and can be completed in around 20 minutes. You will visit five zones before gaining the coordinates for the final location where you can find a physical cache. You must sign the log of this cache if you want to log your find on the Geocaching.com website. You will also be issued with a completion code when you reach this point, which will enable you to log your find on the Wherigo.com website.

At each zone, you are required to answer a simple question about things you can see in the locations you visit. All answers are numerical and if you get it wrong, you will be able to try again.

I have extensively tested this cartridge on the Emulator and in the field using a smartphone Wherigo app and did not experience any problems. Any feedback about the functioning of the cartridge would be gratefully received.
