This cache was placed to commemorate our recent visit to Patti's and Les' near-by cottage (and Mikey's trip and subsequent fall into the lake).
We had planned to hike the Rose Point Trail and were surprised to see that no caches were placed along this great path. Pleas see below for the official description on www.seguin.ca:
Rose Point Recreational Trail
This 6 km trail travels from James Bay Junction Road South through to Rose Point Road along the old JR Booth Rail bed. This trail is a vital link to larger provincial and regional trail systems including the Park-to-park Trail.
The rich history, geology and nature found along this trail bring in trail enthusiasts including snowmobilers, ATVers, hikers, cyclists and cross-country skiers.
Check out the brochure for more information.
The cache is a 500ml mason jar and (at placement) contained a log book, a toy car and a small flash light. Please bring your own pen.
The cache is not a "Park & Grab". Please park at one of the official trail heads and enjoy the hike. You might find hawks, turtles, herons, cranes and frogs along the way.
