Geocache Description:

A clear tube sized cache containing only a log.  Please bring a pencil.  We hope you enjoy our first hide!!

In order to reach this cache you must travel down a quiet residential street in Elizabeth.  As you near the cache you will be heading out of town.  Notice the old creamery on your left which is now used for water treatment.  Sometimes you will see one or two camouflaged vehicles parked down below.  These vehicles were purchased by the village a few years ago as work vehicles.  I remember all the mulch for new park in Elizabeth being delivered via these trucks.  You may park your car off to the side of the gated treatment plant and walk to the cache.  Enjoy the view!   After retrieving the cache be sure to make the short journey down the gravel path which will lead you to the Apple River.  Before the flood of 2011 there was an old metal bridge  (The Georgetown Bridge) wide enough for only one car to pass at a time.
