Geocache Description:


Symphony Lake Hut is a micro sized geocache hidden at the Hex Hut in the rock boulder field between Eagle and Symphony Lakes at the 'end' of the South Fork Eagle River Trail.

This cache was originally placed on September 7th 2015 and not submitted for publication. A trek to the area was needed to return GCD9A Boulder Field to its posted coordinates. So on August 4th 2023, bernie321, Didi and myself hit the trail. While at the hex hut it was decided to see if this cache was still there. And it was!!! The original location was no longer a decent hide as some of the hex hut had blown away or had deteriorated in some other way. We looked around and found a better location where the cache is currently hidden.

Yes, this is a micro sized container hidden approximately 5-1/2 miles from the trailhead but with the hint and spoiler photos its a give away and likely one of the easiest 519 hides to be found!

While at the hex hut, I would encourage you to make your way over to GCD9A Boulder Field, one of Alaska's oldest caches!
