Petrichor: noun. A pleasant smell that frequently accompanies the first rain fall after a long period dry, warm weather. An earthy scent produced from the rain, it's derived from the Greek word 'petra' meaning 'stone' and the Greek word 'ichor' meaning 'the fluid running through the Gods' veins
If you'd like to come back another time and enjoy a walk along Padden, we recommend parking at the Walgreens on 162nd street. Padden's pathway is great for running and strollers. You can start at the Walgreens and follow the path all the way to the Costco off Andresen, about four or so miles.
