Geocache Description:

Small pill bottle BYOP

Google Maps shows a green area just east of this cache location.  If you zoom in to the green area, then Google Maps labels it as "Bacon Cemetery".

I walked to and all around the green area.  No cemetery, no stones, just pasture land and a couple of ponds.

My ancient guide to Cooke County Cemeteries doesn't list "Bacon", but FindAGrave DOES list a Bacon Cemetery here, but wih no burial listings.

So...did Bacon Cemetery really exist?  Does the map have the wrong location?  Has the cemetery been lost to "progress" or landowner apathy?  Did a UFO beam the cemetery up and away?

The container is a small pill bottle so BYOP and see if you can figger out why Bacon Cemetery vanished.

UPDATE 3-19-2017...using Google Earth I believe I have located the cemetery. East of GZ is a pond, but farther east is a "lake" with what appears to be a fenced in area on the near side of the lake, and what appear to be a few tombstones. I will update again after I have verified this new data.

MYSTERY SOLVED!!! Google Earth did show the correct location of the cemetery, due east from the cache and very well hidden. Even from the gate the stones are hard to see, but one leads to another. I took as many pictures as I could. Most burials are 1800's, with the newest being mid 1960s.
