This cache is placed near to a bridge spanning the Coats Burn.
The Coats Burn runs out from underneath the Melrose Bypass (A6901) before passing underneath the bridge near which this cache is located. The burn then makes its way across the field and joins with the Huntly Burn at the other end.
This cache is about a minutes walk from the nearest road (Chiefswood Road) which should be a suitable location to park however parking may be limited during working hours.
There is no need to go off the path around the bridge barriers.
