bjpremore: It looks like the tree hosting that cache has fallen and gone to pieces, with the container nowhere to be found. I will either replace this soon or archive. -bj

Geocache Description:

Small tubular container (about 5" long by 1.5" diameter) in Chambers Park near the Connecticut River. A nice leisurely walk and kid-friendly too.

Enjoy a shady walk in this quiet neighborhood park, past a vernal pool, through a meadow, and along the Connecticut River. This cache is winter-friendly (though it may freeze in place). The original hiding place was found by a 6-year old and she helped put the cache together, too, although after it got washed away twice we've had to relocate it slightly (see hint if you want). Although it is not far from the bank of the river, you do not have to go anywhere near the steep slopes. It is on a marked trail and although there are no trail maps, it is pretty easy to find your way around this small park. In addition to hunting for this cache, we recommend going carefully just a bit further down the trail to the point for some excellent southerly views along the Connecticut River. Or better yet, stop for this cache while you are out for a paddle on the river!

There is plenty of room to park along the side of the road at the trailhead (see waypoint below).

Congratulations to looneydog on the FTF!
