The forested area near this walking trail is home to the pileated woodpecker, the largest woodpecker in the United States.
Pileated woodpeckers are roughly the same size as a crow, with bright red crests and "mustache marks." You'll notice pockmarked standing logs in this area, evidence of woodpecker activity. The cache itself is near the bottom floor of a Woodpecker City skyscraper. :)
