A magnetic container at a nice picnic spot, BYOP


One of many bridges over the Clutha River which replaced an earlier structure destroyed in the disastrous flood of 1878, the Beaumont Bridge remains in use as part of State Highway 8. Completed in March 1887, the Beaumont Bridge is a single lane structure with concrete piers and abutments. An interesting feature of this bridge is that it was the first of four early iron truss bridges made entirely from iron fabricated in New Zealand. I
