Geocache Description:

A cache overlooking the Avoca Valley and Arklow town at the Old Kilbride Cemetary. It is not at the above coordinates (Stage 1) but you will need information from there to calculate the coordinates for the cache (Stage 2)!

The cemetery features an 18th century crypt above which is this great pyramid. The pyramid is described by John Bentjeman (1906-1984, writer, poet) as the largest pyramid tomb 'beyond the banks of the Nile' and was commissioned by the First Viscount of Wicklow Ralph Howard of Shelton Abbey during the 1780s.

More information is available on the Wicklow Heritage website; Giza on the Avoca by Jim Rees.

This micro cache (BYOP)  is our first to be hidden and was actually a 'present' that we found at GC28248-Killarney Lakes Series #5 - Island of Learning. So whoever left it for us to find-TFTC!

To find this cache: 1: Visit the coordinates shown 2: Find the year Dorothea Howard 'departed this life' 3: Take the year as ABCD, the cache coordinates are at: N52 (D)(C).(A+B)(D)(A-A), W006 0(A+C).(A+B)(C)(A-A)

Congratulations to pookeen fo FTF!
