Clapham Common is a large triangular urban park in Clapham, south London. Originally common land for the parishes of Battersea and Clapham, it was converted to parkland under the terms of the Metropolitan Commons Act 1878. It is 220 acres (89 hectares) of green space, with three ponds and a Victorian bandstand. Clapham Common combines open fields, wooded areas and football pitches. There is a cafe next to the bandstand.
Nearby is a recent (in 2015) community project by Banstand Beds with raised beds and a polytunnel.
