Geocache Description:

The road to this cache is muddy and bumpy as can be seen in this picture.  The story of this caches is a bit long and twisty.

It began in July when I was here for a walk with my dogs. I scouted out a few good places for a cache but didn't put any in.

Then in the middle of August I returned to put them in. We were walking down the paved path when we encounted a large fence and a lot of board walk over the path. No one was allowed into the area. Well that seemed to put an end to my plans but then I spotted a sign that said it was closed to remove some underground equipment and would be open on Sept. 4.

So since I was there and had some caches with me I put them in where I could. Most of them were accepted, but a couple had to be moved. So this weekend I returned with more caches and the dogs. We had a long walk along the now open pathway and put in more caches.

This was the first one and we put it in along the road they made for the flood mitigation and removal of equipment. The place is a bit of a mess and my original plans had to be changed as there is a totally new landscape and those big rocks that looked good have been removed. And that pathway is closed. Since I always try to follow the park rules we didn't go down the closed path.

So you should follow the paved pathway until you find this very ugly new road that is often muddy and then follow it to the river.

The cache is in the base of the first toppled tree. Just lean over the trunk and look at the roots. It should be easy to spot. Do not decide to hide it better. This is the way I want it hidden. It is a very scenic spot despite the mud and that is why you are here. I have supplied a spoiler picture if you care to look.

The caches along here are all along a very pretty walk. Please enjoy it.

I usually park in Silver Springs near  CCARF15- Nano on a Bench but this is only because It is close to home. There are many places that you can access this park.
