This Spinifex is one of two artworks created by Regan Gentry to coincide with the opening of the new Tauranga Eastern Link motorway which runs from Bay Park to Paengaroa.It is impressive from the road but close up it is definitely a work of engineering art.The structure is 8m high & constructed from old road side barriers.
The cache is a magnetic nano.This a very busy area traffic wise and is best approached from one way.Which ever way you approach GZ travel east along Tara Road & turn around at an intersection or the first rounabout & come back.There is a drive way roll through on to a grassy area some 40m from the spinifex.
