As far as I know you can't eat the fruit of the weeping pear. We certainly haven't tried. The Royal Horticultural Society web site decribes the Pyrus salicifolia as low maintenance. We wouldn't necessarily agree with that, in that it is awkward and prickly to prune.
IMPORTANT: this cache can be reached from the pavement, so do not enter anyone's driveway or garden.
