Kincardine is Scottish Traditional Cache

A short walk near one of Kincardine's community attractions, The Peace Labyrinth. This area is also an entrance to the Kincardine trail system, a set of trails following the Penetangore river system which travel through various landscapes and terrains.  

A 2 kg peanut butter jug wrapped in camo tape. Kincardine's history is steeped in Scottish heritage and tradition.  This cache was placed with the intention of keeping that alive.  Many of the initial items found inside this cache reflect that.  While here you can learn about the history of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band which has been in existance for over a 100 years.  It's weekly parade every Saturday night in the summer draws visitors and locals alike to enjoy and march along down the main street.  There is also the Phantom Piper every night at the lighthouse to pipe down the sun.  Strolling through town you'll see the entire community gets in to the Scottish spirit.  The annual Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games are a highlight and draw thousands of people every summer.  The summer ends with the annual Gathering of the Bands event and mass bands parade.  Once found please share some of your favourite Kincardine stories related to it's scottish history.
