Geocache Description:

This cache is for those of you who are geeks. A genuine geek will solve this in one day. It is designed to be tough but not impossible.


NOTE This cache was published in 2002, prior to the rule that a Mystery icon must be posted within two miles of the final cache location, and it is grandfathered from compliance with that rule. You will be travelling many more miles than that to complete this cache!

The cache container is a small ammo box.

Look for a Large blue sign. The last line contains the word LOTTERY.

Do not count spaces or symbols and case is important!

Decipher the waypoint and head for waypoint 2.

Waypoint 2:
This will test your high school math skills and if you are successful you will have derived waypoint 3. Do not panic though - all you need to know is how to use a scientific calculator. Any standard Windows PC will have a scientific calculator.

At waypoint 2, you should find a place to sit and do your homework. Only count letters and digits. Now get your pen ready and answer the following:

Waypoint 3:
There are several signs in the area. Look for the largest one near some steps. The number of these steps is not important. Read the sign and then you will know what you need to do. Grumble.

At your destination, there will be more signs and you will need to gather information from them.

Use the Lat/Lon from waypoint 2 and switch to UTM. Grumble.

Go for the cache! It is very difficult to find. GPS signal in the area can be quite bouncy. A hint for approaching the final is given in the checker.
