Grotto Traditional Cache

Cache is located at a historic location, is in a unique container, and is of small size in a medium to large size container. Clue:  The only KEY you need is wisdom.  Turn the pages of the book very carefully and read the ancient message.  Sign the log, replace the cache, and close the book carefully.  Thanks for visiting!  We hope you enjoyed the cache!

Historical significance:  In 1959, Mr. Hunt went to Europe.  As he walked the ancient roads, he was impressed that every so often someone had built a grotto for travelers to use as a resting spot.  When he returned to Texas, he decided to build a grotto for travelers on Hwy 54.  Over the years, many people have stopped.  Some light a candle, some leave a note of thanks, a few ask for blessings for specific needs.  As his remaining relatives, we thought this would be a great place for a geocache in order to share the history.  Mr. Hunt always reminded us how many blessings we have and how we must remember to always give thanks.
